I've been a member of DeviantArt for a while, but hadn't bothered to put any of my own work up. But I've found that DA has a strong sense of community and a lot of artistic talent flying around, so I decided to take the plunge. I'll be putting some of the best shots from my portfolio up here for your viewing pleasure and hoping to add more soon.
The camera wars are on! Nikon and Canon are doing whatever they can to undercut each other in the prosumer digital SLR space. I've been using a Canon 20D for the past three years, and was looking to upgrade to the 50D, but I was really impressed with the Nikon D300. Only problem was price (and ignoring the fact I have a few Canon lenses). But that all changed this week. There was already a $300 rebate going on the D300 kit with 18-200mm VR lens, and they dropped it another $300. I picked up a brand new D300 with 18-200mm VR lens for a bit over $2000, which is phenomenal. Have only take a few shots with the D300 but will put some more up after my next model shoot. It is a superb handling camera and I look forward to taking some great pictures with it.

Have only take a few shots with the D300 but will put some more up after my next model shoot. It is a superb handling camera and I look forward to taking some great pictures with it.
